ESTABLISHMENT

Ankober Wereda Development Association (AWDA) is established by friends and residents of Ankober in June 2007. It was registered at North Shoa Zone Justice Department as non-profit and non-governmental organization under license number 47/2000 in November 2007. It is reregistered at the federal level with the Charities and Societies Agency Reg. No. 1526. AWDA has offices in Ankober and Addis Ababa. It intends to open offices in Debre Berhan, Nazreth and in different towns abroad.

An organizing committee has been established in Washington,  chaired by Ato Tesfaye Kebede of ETETE Restaurant in Washington as of December 6, 2011.
